The session will focus on the problem of verification of next generation automotive features and systems and highlight the challenges involved in specifying and verifying the AI/ML components in these systems. The talk will cover a review of existing verification techniques for traditional automotive software and identify the gaps in extending them to AI based systems. A summary of emerging approaches to verification of AI/ML based components and their realization challenges will be given.
Siddartha is currently a Head of Verification & Validation of Connected & Autonomous Vehicles at WMG, University of Warwick. After his undergraduate at IIT Kharagpur he worked for 4 years in the industry on advanced control technology, first with Tata Motors and then with FEV. He is a TEDx speaker, a Forbes Under 30 honouree and a represent of the UK on the ISO Technical Committee as well as a member of an international team of experts, creating international standards for safe introduction of automated vehicles.
