Senior Director ADAS
After his degree in Mechanical Engineering at University of Karlsruhe in November 1887 Matthias Schulze started his career in truck engine development at Daimler Trucks. In April 1991 he became in touch with ADAS systems and Telematics for the first time, when he joined a team at Daimler Corporate Research that coordinated the research activities of the European Research program PROMETHEUS. When PEROMETHEUS ended in December 1994 he stayed with Daimler Research where he became responsible for a project on truck platooning and later for a team dealing with autonomous driving. In January 2002 he moved to the Telematics Center at Daimler Corporate Research, where as a Senior Manager became responsible for Research in Telematics based driver assistance functions. In May 2010 he returned as a Senior Manager to the Driver Assistance Systems Center at Daimler Research & Advance Engineering, where he was first responsible for developing driver support functions and later for environment perception. In January 2017 he joined Visteon Electronics as a Senior Director to set up an Advance Engineering Group for ADAS.
