Mr. Luca De Ambroggi, a senior research director at IHS Markit, leads the research on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Luca is leading the research and analysis for Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions within the Transformative Technology team at IHS Markit. Under his guidance, across different industries and levels in the supply chain, his team offers insights, data and strategical assistance to companies, in their effort to develop individual growth strategies, market-entry plans and competitive analysis in the disruptive world of Artificial Intelligence.
In his journey with IHS Markit, Luca contributed to develop the automotive electronics and semiconductor research that secured an increase of customers´ engagement and revenue by a factor of x10 in the last 4 years. For his technical and analytical skills, Luca is today recognized worldwide as one of the industry’s leading experts in electronics and semiconductors components for the automotive market.
Among his tasks, Luca supports also sales and marketing, as well as strategic business development endeavors within IHS Markit.
He joined the company with 16 years of semiconductor industry experience, including product and design management and technical marketing. Having served a broad range of functions throughout his tenure, he possesses deep technical comprehension as well as an ability to address strategic market and business scenarios. He began his career as a design engineer with STMicroelectronics and has held various technical and marketing positions within both STMicroelectronics and Infineon. Luca has more than 20 patents issued while working in the semiconductor industry.
Luca graduated full marks from the University of Catania, Italy, in Electro-Technic Engineering. He is fluent in Italian, English, and German.
